Emily Farr
Emily Farr is a compassionate and dedicated intern therapist currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University, expected to graduate in July 2025. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from The University of Arizona.
Emily has a deep passion for supporting individuals through their emotional development, using a person-centered approach and integrating mindfulness practices with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as needed. She recognizes that each person is unique and tailors her approach to fit their individual needs.
Before entering the mental health field, Emily gained valuable experience in business and leadership as the owner of Quench Juicery in Scituate and Cohasset, MA, where she managed a team of 20 employees and developed healthy, low-inflammation recipes. Her background also includes high-level executive support roles, where she honed her communication, and confidentiality skills—traits that she now brings to her therapy practice. Emily’s empathetic and non-judgmental nature is complemented by her volunteer experience with organizations like
South Shore Hospital’s Critical Care Unit and Compassionate Care ALS, fueling her desire to help others.
As part of the clinical team at LPTC, Emily is supervised in counseling patients with a host of physical and mental health challenges. She has obtained additional training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Her calm, supportive presence empowers clients to engage in this often-challenging work at a pace that is manageable and respectful of their needs.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Emily enjoys running, reading, hiking, yoga, and cooking, all of which support her commitment to health and wellness.
