Karen Sherwood, M.S.

Karen Sherwood, M.S., is a Clinical Nutritionist and Integrative Health Practitioner with a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine from the University of Bridgeport. She has co-authored articles in health & fitness publications including Yoga Journal, Mind/body Green, and Active.com. Karen served as Resident Nutritionist at the Sports Club LA (Boston, MA), Live in Fitness Enterprise (Los Angeles, CA), Exhale Spa (Santa Monica, CA), and as a corporate wellness coach at Optum/United Healthcare.

Like all practitioners at the Lyme and PANS Treatment Center, she shares the belief that every condition has bio-psycho-social components and she works at the intersection of the physical and emotional body by combining her Nutrition expertise with neuroplasticity theories, EFT (emotional freedom technique), yoga/meditation, and lifestyle-coaching for a well-rounded approach. Karen empowers families to take daily steps closer to nature using food-as-medicine recipes, biohacking tips, and rituals for wellbeing.
